May 15-16, 2018, Chapel Hill, NC

The Kehrer Bielan Spring Tune Up is our next meeting of our semi-annual study group of CEOs and other key executives who manage the investment services business in banks and credit unions. The conversation explores best industry practices through the interaction of the experience and insights of participants, driven by KBR&C's proprietary research, in the retreat setting of the Fearrington House Inn.

The goal is for the participants to leave the session with tangible action steps that they can implement to improve their business. It is an ideal environment for those executives looking for industry ideas, networking, and shared best practices.

The discussion will once again be moderated by Kenneth Kehrer and Peter Bielan—who have been instrumental in helping move the financial advice industry beyond bean counting toward identifying best practices.

The discussion agenda is developed in conjunction with our sponsor partners and participants. Recurring topics have included:

  • Recruiting and retention of advisors
  • Transitioning advisors to fee based business
  • Compensation trends
  • The role of financial planning
  • How to incent for referrals under Reg. R
  • Expanding life insurance sales
  • Rightsizing the advisor headcount
  • Reengineering the platform sales force
  • The impact of sales assistants and associate (junior) Advisors
  • The cost of processing the business

This Forum offers a valuable and efficient opportunity to leverage the experience and knowledge of your peers and industry experts at no cost—thanks to our sponsors, travel, hotel accommodations, and group meals are complimentary.  The meeting begins with a welcome luncheon at 12:00 p.m. and concludes at 1:00 p.m. with lunch on the following afternoon.
