This study will analyze data from a nationally representative survey of 4,200 households to profile the annuity buyer and provide  insights into how to position annuity products and engage with potential buyers.  The analysis will compare annuity owners and households that report that they plan to acquire an annuity in the next 12 months with the general population, in terms of:

  • Key demographics,
  • Channel preferences,
  • Use of financial products
  • Sources of financial advice, and
  • Financial concerns that motivate their behavior.
